Privacy
This policy describes how Potato Mart Pty Ltd handles personal information about wholesale applicants, account contacts, authorised buyers, and other people who use our trade services.
English is the controlling legal version.
This policy is prepared for Australian wholesale customers and is informed by the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy explains how Potato Mart Pty Ltd handles personal information when a business representative browses the wholesale storefront, applies for or uses a trade account, places an order, or contacts us.
We may collect business and contact details, application information, account credentials, delivery details, order and invoice records, payment status, support messages, preferences, and information you provide to us. We may also collect device, browser, IP address, website usage, and security-event data.
We use personal information to assess applications, create and administer trade accounts, provide protected catalogue access, process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery or collection, manage payments and invoices, respond to enquiries, protect the storefront, prevent fraud, improve our services, and meet legal obligations.
We may use cookies, local storage, server logs, and analytics tools to keep the storefront working, remember preferences, understand how it is used, protect accounts, diagnose problems, and improve the experience. Browser settings may allow you to limit cookies, although some features may then work differently.
Card and other electronic payments may be handled by secure payment providers. Potato Mart does not need to store full card numbers in the storefront. We may retain payment references, status, and transaction records needed for orders, accounting, support, and disputes.
We may disclose relevant information to providers that support payment, logistics, communications, hosting, technology, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and professional advice, and to regulators or authorities where required or permitted by law. We do not sell personal information.
Some technology, communications, analytics, and payment providers may process information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to select and work with providers that protect information appropriately.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards and restrict access to people and providers who need information for an authorised purpose. No online system is completely secure. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for business, legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, and security purposes.
You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading. We may need to verify your identity and authority to act for the business before responding.
We may send important application, account, order, delivery, payment, security, and support messages. Where lawful, we may also send marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages, but service messages needed to administer your account or orders may still be sent.
The wholesale storefront is intended for authorised business buyers who can lawfully place orders. Alcohol must not be purchased by, supplied to, or received by anyone under 18. We may collect or check age, identity, authority, and delivery information where reasonably needed for liquor compliance.
If you have a privacy concern, contact us so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
